This cash payout is part of the Assurance Package – something the government rolled out to help Singaporeans cope with rising costs of living. And yes, you could be getting up to $700 straight into your bank account, depending on your age and income level.

Who’s getting the $700 payout?

If you’re aged 21 and above this year, and your annual income is below $100,000, you’re likely eligible for this round of payout. In fact, many seniors and retirees who don’t earn active income anymore will automatically qualify.

Here’s a quick breakdown:

  • Seniors aged 65 and above: Most will get $700 (including the AP Seniors’ Bonus).
  • Lower-income adults: Up to $600.
  • Middle-income: Around $200 to $400, depending on your income tier.

Not sure how much you’re getting? Just log in with your Singpass on the official gov website or the LifeSG app to check your benefits breakdown.

When is the money coming?

The next round of payouts will be credited directly into your bank account via PayNow or GovCash if you haven’t linked your bank. Many recipients will see the money by end March – so keep an eye on your SMS or banking app.

Here’s the timeline:

  • Early March: Notification letters/SMS sent
  • Mid to End March: Money credited
  • GovCash Collection: Available at OCBC ATMs (no ATM card needed)

If you haven’t received anything by 1st April, don’t panic. Sometimes there’s a delay – just double-check your eligibility and ensure your PayNow NRIC is linked.

What else is coming?

On top of the $700, you might also receive:

  • CDC Vouchers ($300 total for 2025)
  • U-Save rebates for utility bills
  • Seniors’ Bonus (extra payout for 55 and above)

Many folks are surprised to find they’re getting more than $1,000 in total when they combine all these schemes.

Don’t leave money on the table

Every dollar counts, especially for seniors and pensioners relying on CPF and monthly allowances. Make sure your details are updated, and check your PayNow NRIC setup. You don’t want your money stuck somewhere!

Share this with your parents, ah ma, or neighbours – many still blur blur about where to check. This $700 could cover groceries, bills, or even give you some breathing space this month.

Stay updated. Stay ahead. Don’t miss your payout.
